Anna supports and champions entrepreneurship in Life Sciences to help improve health care outcomes. Based in Melbourne, she works with research organisations, SMEs and start-ups to take new diagnostic tools, medical devices and drugs to market.

Anna completed her PhD in Molecular Cell Biology – studying HIV drug resistance – at Monash University in 2007. Her recent roles include Business Development Coordinator for the Hudson Institute of Medical Research and Project Manager for MassChallenge, a global network of start-up accelerators. She runs regular events with Peak15 HealthTech to help nurture the Life Sciences entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Anna is highly experienced in evaluating the commercial potential of new ideas, managing IP, finding industry partners, administering collaborations, liaising with end-users to aid product development, and clearly communicating product benefits. She’s widely networked with researchers, entrepreneurs, healthcare providers, businesses and consumers.

For gemaker’s clients, Anna finds strategic partners and opportunities and accelerates their commercialisation projects with advice, mentoring and support services.
